This unique Pen Kalamkari Saree on Handwoven 100% Tussar Silk Sarees boasts of exquisite pattern with floral deigns on the body and its pallu. The main body of the saree is adorned women busy in their mundane activities with beautiful flower motifs painstakingly hand painted by the artist in multiple shades of yellow / multi.
Aanchal / Pallu has Krishna with Gopi around. Comes with a hand painted blouse on natural colour base that compliments the Saree extremely well. A must have in your wardrobe if you like to be a head turner but exude elegance!

Just Saree : Saree as listed. Please refer "Comes with Blouse Piece" to know if it comes with original Blouse Piece length. Length of such Saree is in the range of 6.3 meters to 6.4 meters with 70cms to 80 cms of Blouse length.

If the Saree "Comes without Blouse Piece", the length is in the range of 5.2 meters to 5.5 meters.

The Story Behind

Pen Kalamkari is a type of hand-painted textile produced in Srikalahasti ,in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. This style of Kalamkari uses the “kalam” or pen for freehand drawing of the subject and filling in the colors. The coloring process involves usage of only natural dyes which are extracted from flowers and vegetables. The Srikalahasti style is used mostly to narrate the religious myths and epics stories on the fabric and also the saris of this style are most notable for its borders and pallu. It is registered as one of the geographical indications from Andhra Pradesh.

Note- Slight pencil marks, a distinct fragrance of milk used as mordant are marks of authentic Pen Kalamkari articles.
